Another Ripple makes 3 White Birds

I think 3 white birds rounds this group out nicely, what do you think?

This card was sold before I painted it (Thanks Laura Zarrin!) but when I paint another, I think I need to move on from my white bird obsession.

Please visit Ripple to see the amazing contributions in this month's Great American Illustrators. The art is still a bargain, and the cause is still really important.

For the Love of Food Exhibit

You may recall my baby beets piece from earlier this year. It will be exhibited as part of the above show at the Children's Museum of NH this summer. I saw a bit of it being installed as we played at the museum last weekend - it looks superb. I adore the painting above, by Fleur Palau. I can't wait to see the whole exhibit next week myself. See below for more details and the list of talented artists participating. It also doesn't hurt that the museum is such a wonderful place to visit with little ones. If you want to go just to see the art, visit the front desk and they'll let you view the show without paying admission for the museum.

Crafty Folk

My friend Jen (aka Recovergirl) coordinated the above event. Doesn't it sound wonderful? The Portsmouth Library is one of my favorite places to visit.

It's timed nicely to coordinate with The Button Factory's Open Studios. I still haven't seen Handmade Nation so I'm hoping to make it to this AND the Open Studios. I've had my eye on this artist's lovely necklaces since a farmer's market earlier this year. (She's on the first floor) I think one of them might be my Christmas present, I'll even wrap it up for hubby to give to me!
