What I listen to while drawing...

At our SNHI-SCBWI critique group meeting last night, Ann Marie asked if/what we listened to while drawing and painting, here's a more thought out response:

When I don't need to focus too much I'll listen to Sirius online (yes, I'm a big Howard fan. It goes along with me having a 10 yr. old boy trapped inside me who also loves the Jackass movies and Borat.) I really like how much great talk radio is available from so many different perspectives. I've been a Sirius subscriber for a year now and love it.

When I want to focus but have a little energy (vs. dead silence), lately I've been listening to a mix of the following, in no particular order:

Neko Case: Fox Confessor Brings the Flood
Soundtrack for Amelie
Beirut: The Gulag Orkestar
Jeremy Enigk: World Waits
Emiliana Torrini: Love in the Time of Science
The Fire Theft
