Stamp it!

I can't believe it's been nearly a week since I posted last. I've been busy with stationary designs, kitchen renovations, and enjoying the (FINALLY!) beautiful weather. I have a lot of things to do in preparation for both the SCBWI Conference and Surtex/Stationary Show next month. Not the least of which is getting things printed out: business cards, return address stamp, postcards. I'm going to try VistaPrint for all their 'free' promotionals right now.

The above design is for a rubber stamp, return address (with address blurred out). I'll be working this little bird into new business cards also, but painted. I had fun experimenting with black line work and auto trace in illustrator. Certainly not the fastest method but produces some interesting results. I like the chunky/choppy edges. I'm totally unsure if this design is too intricate for their rubber stamp quality but there's only one way to find out and it's going to cost under $5 anyway.
