A few months ago I got my first Moleskine sketchbook. This was the first thing I drew in it. I love the super flat surface of the paper, it reminds me of bristol which I used to draw on quite a bit. The slightly yellow pages add another level of uniqueness for sketchbooks. In my other sketchbooks (usually canson) I tend to not shade much, usually focusing on the characters and rough ideas but the surface of this stock has made me shade a bit more and get a little more detailed.
I don't know much about this lady yet, although I think she looks like an 'Elizabeth' to me. I have been sketching really simple frames of late, this being a very decorative version.
